Propeller Group

1. Inspect spinner and back plate.

2. Inspect blades for nicks and cracks.

3. Inspect hub for cracks and corrosion.

4. Check for grease and oil leaks.

5. Check mounting bolts and safety.

6. Constant speed-check blades for tightness.

7. Constant speed-remove prop, remove sludge.

8. Lubricate as per manual.

9. Inspect complete assembly.

10. Replace spinner

ENGINE GROUP

1. Remove engine cowls

2. Clean cowling, check for cracks, missing fasteners, etc..

3. Compression check: /80

5. Check oil screens and clean

6. Replace oil filter element

7. Check oil temp sender unit for leaks and security

8. Clean and check oil radiator fins

13. Check fuel system for leaks

14. Check oil lines for leaks and security

15. Check fuel lines for leaks and security

16. Service air cleaner

17. Check induction air and heat ducts

18. Check condition of carb. heat box

19.Check mag. points for proper clearance.

20. Check breaker felts for lubrication

 

22. Check distributor block for cracks, burned areas, corrosion, height of contract springs

23. Check ignition harness and insulators

24. Check mag to engine timing:

25 Service or replace spark plugs

26. Check condition of generator or alternator

27. Check condition of starter

28. Check condition and tension of drive belts

29. Check hydraulic pump and strainer

30. Check vacuum pump and lines

31. Inspect exhaust stacks, gaskets, etc.

32. Inspect muffler and shrouds

33. Check engine baffles

34. Check breather tube for obstructions, security

35. Check crankcase for leaks, cracks, etc.

36. Check engine mounts for cracks, loose mounts.

37. Check engine mount bushings.

38. Check firewall seals

39. Check throttle, carb heat, mixture, and prop governor controls for travel and operating condition.

40. Check cowl flap condition and operation

41. Inspect engine for general condition, loose parts, chafing, proper safeties, proper installation, etc..

42. Fill engine with oil

43. Clean engine

44. Lubricate all controls

45. Reinstall engine cowl

C CABIN GROUP

1. Inspect cabin doors for damage and operation

2. Check windows for general condition

3. Check upholstery for general condition

4. Check seats, seat belts, and mountings

5. Check trim operation

6. Check flap operation

7. Check fuel selector valve operation

8. Check operation of fuel drain

9. Check landing, navigation, cabin, and instrument lights.

10. Check rudder pedals

11. Check brake cylinders for operation and leaks

12. Check brake fluid level

13. Check control wheels, column, pulleys, cables

14. Check instruments, lines, and attachments

15. Service filters for gyro instruments

16. Check condition in genera! Under panel for loose wires. Loose equipment. Chafing, etc.

17. Check condition of heater controls and ducts, air vents, and air conditioning ducts.

18. Lubricate controls

 

19. Check condition of instrument panel shock mounts

20. Check altimeter calibration

D. FUSELAGE AND EMPENNAGE GROUP

1. Remove inspection plates and panels

2. Check general condition on aircraft skin

3. Check baggage door(s) latches, and hinges

4 Service battery

5. Check bulkheads and stringers for damage

6. Check wiring for damage and security

7. Check security of all lines (fuel. hydraulic. etc.)

8. Check cables turnbuckles, guides, and pulleys for safeties, Damage and operation.

9. Check radio antennas for mounting and electrical Connections.

10. Check rotating beacon or strobes for security and operation

11. Check empennage surfaces for damage

12. Check rudder hinges, horn, and attachments

13. Check vertical fin attachments

14. Check elevator or stabilator hinges, horn, and attachments

15. Check horizontal stabilizer attachments

16. Check Trim mechanism

17. Service hydraulic and brake systems

18 Service cabin heater

19. Lubricate as per manual

20. Re-install inspection plates and panels

E. WING GROUP

1. Remove inspection plates and fairing

2. Check surfaces and tips for damage loose rivets. etc.

3. Check ailerons, hinges, cables, pulleys, and bell cranks for damage and operation

4. Check flaps for damage and operation

5. Check fuel tank for leaks and water

6. Check fuel tank vents

7. Fuel tanks marked for octane and capacity

8. Check wing attachment bolts

9. Check pitot tube for security

10. Check stall warning indicator for operation

11. Lubricate as per manual

12. Re-install inspection plates and fairings

13. Put airplane on jacks

14. Check tires for wear and damage

15. Remove wheels for cracks, corrosion, broken bolts

16. Check tire pressure Nose________

5. Check brake linings and drum or disc

6. Check brake lines for security and condition

7. Check oleo struts for leaks and scoring

8. Check gear forks, torque links, etc. for general condition.

9. Check gear attachment bolts

 

10. Check nose gear steering control and travel

11. Check shimmy dampener

12. Check ear doors and attachments

13. Retract gear, check for proper clearances and operation

14. Check warning horn and lights

15. Check safety "squawk" switch

16. Check oleo fluid level and air pressure

17. Inspect all hydraulic lines and electrical wires for security, routing and general condition

18. Lubricate as per manual

19. Remove airplane from jacks

G. OPERATIONAL INSPECTION

8. Check air conditioner operation

9. Check parking brake

10. Check oil pressure and temperature

11. Check manifold pressure

12. Check alternate air

13. Check propeller smoothness
